Individually Handcrafted

Heirloom Quality

Provenance:

The BourbonWare story lies at the intersection of the Thoroughbred horse racing and Bourbon distilling traditions of the bluegrass region. We practiced and refined our leather craft in the storied tack shops of Lexington, Kentucky and took inspiration from the time-honored traditions of America’s Native Spirit. The marriage of these uniquely Kentucky traditions led to the creation of our flagship design, The Lexington Rocks Glass, in the fall of 2007.

My story begins with watching my father at his workbench, when I wasn't old enough to hold a round knife, then working with him for over a decade, making Thoroughbred race halters while attending the University of Kentucky, and finally with BourbonWare.

In the fall of 2007 I designed our flagship, The Lexington Rocks Glass, and convinced Woodford Reserve to buy a dozen with the old Labrot & Graham logo embossed on them. They were a hit! So, in 2011, BourbonWare was born to combine my leather crafting background with my love of fine bourbon. The story of BourbonWare is very similar to that of the Kentucky Bourbon distillers - high quality, handcrafted goods, made in small batches.

Today we have retailers all over the South and ship our products worldwide.

A Note On Quality:

We use natural vegetable tanned leather from the Wickett & Craig tannery in Pennsylvania, as well as Libbey glassware - a winning combination!

Solid Brass, Stainless Steel, Bonded Nylon Thread and Crystal are also used for a variety of products. Using the finest materials, and traditional construction techniques, allows us to handcraft leather goods that will last for generations.

Prost!
